What countries did you visit? this one. 6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006? I'd like to have more time to spend developing myself artistically and career-wise. 4:58 pm	So this needs more of an in-depth analysis than marc gave: Brett Cushing AP Art Hist 4th Period Sep. 11, 2005 "An In-Depth Analysis of Marc's Mono-Hero" This character is in the same vein as the heroic archetypes that we discuss in our highly intellectual discussions about mythology in English class. You may be wondering what is so heroic about this creature? Plenty, I say! It is not, contrary to yall's suspicions I'm sure, the product of Brett's insanity, but a collage of Marc's heroes . . . . the ones that he brings up every few minutes or so and cross-analyzes (although I'm not sure he's ever cross-analyzed peter jennings . . . well maybe. I think Peter Jennings is above that in Marc's mind. Someone will have to ask him). I'm not even responsible for the pictures (except the Jesus part, but I thought that Marc's religion had to be represented.) Obviously, though, this is more than a mere compilation -- he is a superhero unto himself, and Mr. Lobozzo's accusing expression represents the opposition he meets in his life. In all myths, legends, and informercials the hero inevitably experiences inner conflict -- self-doubt and confusion -- and the fact that Mr. Lobozzo denies this creature's abilities to walk on water represents that that insecurity exists in all of us, however confident and apathetic we may appear outwardly. Peter Jennings, you will notice, is flaring his swirly-eyes, because he was caught off-guard by his own insecurities (once again, manifested as Mr. Lobozzo with a mouse-pointer as a hand). This fear of weakness is also evidenced in his confused expression. Now that we've covered the inner torment of every hero that ever walked the screens of a disney movie, let us move on to the hero's natural, evidently inborn confidence. The pose of the upper body, here, shows that he is strong and carries a formidable weapon to smite his enemies. A big stick, if you will. Probably speaks softly too. Obviously he is a man of few words. The conflict emerges again, as we, the viewers, wonder whether or not he will smite Mr. Lobozzo for doubting him or if he will show mercy and let him live. One has to assume that he will be merciful as heroes are always inwardly good people. Simba tried to save Scar even though he hated him, so I'm sure that Marc's hero will let Mr. Lobozzo live. You'll also notice the cross-country whistle -- this represents that he's had athletic training. Obviously. Even though his legs don't look like they're in very good shape. I digress. The lower torso and legs are that of a medieval portrayal of a crucified Christ (not a golden goddess, haha) Hence, he is walking on water. This part is fairly simple: it represents the hero's willingness to sacrifice himself for those he loves or what he believes in. It also represents that the hero is gifted with abilities that he must share with all of humanity. This guy's also got some mad jaundice. I'm sure its from sacrificing his own health for the sake of his cause. But he is drinking a large jug of juice -- pure sugar with fruit-flavored chemicals mmm tasty -- so he at least knows to keep hydrated. Its all that athletic training. And everyone who's taken AP Art Hist. (Sarah) will understand the fruit.
